Customer Testimonials

What Our Customers Say

“The Learning Place has been our STAR course provider for over 5 years, and

we’ve had a consistently positive experience working with them.   Trudy and

the team have been excellent to communicate with—always responsive,

flexible, timely and accurate in their reporting. With multiple campuses across

our school, it’s been encouraging to hear similarly positive feedback from our

other units, many of which onboarded due to the strong reputation they’ve

built.

Our students have also shared great feedback, particularly highlighting the

quality of their tutors and the support they’ve received throughout their

learning journey. It’s clear that The Learning Place is committed to delivering a

high standard of education and service, and we’re pleased to continue our

partnership with them”

“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Trudy Quirk and the dedicated team at The

Learning Place, Dunedin, for their exceptional support throughout the final quarter of this

year. Their professionalism and commitment were instrumental in assisting me with the

organisation of multiple courses for students from Kings High School.

Coordinating programmes for teenage boys within a limited timeframe of one and a half

terms presented its challenges. However, the outstanding support, understanding, and

flexibility demonstrated by Trudy and her team significantly alleviated the pressure of this

task. As a result, it was immensely rewarding to witness 78 students successfully attend and

thoroughly enjoy their chosen courses.

Courses offered by The Learning Place continue to be highly popular among our students.

Particular favourites include Barista and Bartending, closely followed by Group

Leadership and Teamwork and Communication. Each provides valuable skills and

experiences that enhance students’ employability and personal development.

I was pleased to see the students taking advantage of the Sports Coaching course this year.

The Learning Place sent me photos of the students in action on the course and feedback

from the lads was very positive.

We are deeply grateful to Trudy Quirk and the entire Learning Place team for their ongoing

dedication, professionalism, and enthusiasm in supporting the learning and growth of our

students.”

“It was amazing, the students loved it and want to do more courses. Tim was a

brilliant facilitator and I cannot recommend him enough.”
-Peter Maslin - Head of High | Kingsgate School - Pukekohe

“The 2-day Barista course provided by the Learning Place here at TGHS was a huge

success.

The trainer Sam, was very encouraging and clearly confident and experienced. He

assisted the students who needed extra support well and his manner with the

students was professional, yet relaxed. His delivery and knowledge of the content

made the course interesting and fun for a diverse range of learning abilities.

I was impressed how self-sufficient and well-resourced this course is and how our

hall kitchen space, which we had initial reservations about, worked as an ideal space

because of this. It all flowed really well with the way the course is structured. He

encouraged and supported the students on the second day to have a pop-up cafe for

our staff for morning tea break which was very well received by staff and raised

some donations for a local youth group charity. This enabled students to experience

real-world practicalities of making their coffees under a time pressure, taking orders,

leadership skills, teamwork and customer service. Feedback from all staff involved

was positive!

I was very impressed and would not hesitate to rebook for next year. “

“The kaiako was confident, experienced, and supportive, with excellent delivery and

subject knowledge that made the course engaging and fun for all learning levels.

Students gained real-world experience making coffees under time pressure, building

teamwork and customer service skills. Feedback was excellent—I’d gladly rebook

next year!

“The Learning Place is one of the best providers we work with. They are flexible,

professional, and inclusive, offering easy bookings and quality courses with great

value. They put our diverse ākonga at the centre of everything they do which fits with

our kaupapa!

I was thoroughly impressed recently by how accommodating The Learning Place has

been in tailoring a course to meet our specific requirements. Trudy is always

responsive and flexible throughout the planning process, always quick to answer

questions and make adjustments. The students really enjoy the tutors who make the

courses engaging and fun  — which makes the learning experience both enjoyable

and highly effective for them. The courses that they offer are relevant for pathways,

skills to add to CV's, and also, those forever add-on credits if required.

I'm very impressed with how quickly results, certificates and invoices are delivered.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Learning Place for anyone looking for

professional, well-organized and personalized training.

I know they will be my my “go to points” for next year courses”
